iKenya ~ iPhone Safari
From the blue water on Diani beach to the lions and wildebeest of the Maasai Mara, from the view of the snow covered slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro to the pink flamingos of lake Bogoria, a safari in Kenya is an overwhelming experience.
iKenya is photographer Sephi Bergerson’s latest book project.
Bergerson first traveled to Kenya in 2013 and immediately fell in love. This book is a diary of his travels, encounters and experiences, fully shot, edited and post produced on the iPhone.
“I didn’t want to travel with heavy gear. There are plenty of photographers shooting wildlife with long telephoto lenses. I want to travel light and enjoy my trip. The iPhone is the best camera for my kind of travel. I like to shoot, select, edit, and be able to share the image on my instagram feed immediately.”
Sephi will be traveling more often to Kenya in the next two years to complete this project. His next trip, in August 2015, will take him to the Samburu, the Pokot, and to lake Turkana to capture the portraits and lifestyle of some of the most beautiful tribes of Kenya.
