Robert Frank.

The first time I saw his work was in his book ‘The Americans’. I’ll never forget flipping through those photographs in the library. He has such an ability to capture those fleeting, often untold moments that produce such iconic imagery.

I first saw his China work via a PDN article. Like Robert Frank, MCB has an amazing ability to capture those rare, fleeting moments in life.

I think having Top 20 or Top 10 list just Psychological, isn’t. I am not photography historian to comment on the list as a layman I find lot of influential stuff form many photographers. In fact I enjoy all works of the photographers featured in the Photo Book. I am glad that I own it. Provides lot of inspirations.

Quite an interesting list. Clicking on a couple of the links I discovered some work I knew that I’d never known the name of the photographer. I’m intrigued that neither you nor PDN included Steve McCurry – some of your work brings to mind his.
My list would include Steve, Galen Rowell, Ansel Adams, Nachtwey, Tim Page, Reza, Jim Marshall.
