It's simple, costs just 1K and is effective. No hassles involved. There's no guarantee that they wouldnt do this again (even to you). A huge fine is the only way to deter them from further theft. I even had a watermark on those two photos, but they cropped it out and used them on their banner just like you mentioned. The site looks different than the one I had a problem with, but I wonder if my site is stealing other photos also. I'm happy to provide you the URL of the offending site if you're interested.
