Thanks for your comment Kanupriya. The picture caption only refers to the moment it was taken. From what I have seen, both the bride and the groom did not smile during the wedding ceremony itself. It was explained to me that this is due to some Rajput tradition expected from the couple. Have I misunderstood this? Never the less, I added your remark to the caption and I hope it sheds the right light on the situation.
